Are you creative?
Do you enjoy making things?
Do you like to draw, paint, sculpt?
If any of these answers are yes…then Shenley Academy’s art clubs are for you!
Our art clubs involve creativity and exploration of different art styles and processes. We offer a range of activities as part of our extracurricular programme such as pottery, wire wool sculpture, photo shop and painting. Students can also take part in competitions such as the National Gallery summer exhibition competition, Young Artist of the Year and EACT art competitions. We have also worked in the community on projects for Weoley Castle and Northfield, as well as working on a tapestry project with a local textiles artist with the theme of ‘saving the bees’. We run art trips to Birmingham city centre to visit the Ikon gallery as well as Birmingham University exhibitions. We also like to use art club time to get involved with and design set, costumes and props for our Academy musical.
