Life in the sixth form
Students benefit from excellent facilities including rich ICT provision in a spacious welcoming common room and study environment.
All students engage in enrichment activities with the aim of developing the whole individual in preparation for university, apprenticeships or employment. This includes many different experiences such as recreational sport, regular fundraising, mentoring and the sixth form leadership award scheme.
Students enjoy visits to universities and visiting speakers from employers, charitable organisations, health professionals and student finance. Students have gained great success in areas such as leading sport events to securing places at prestigious university summer schools and work place schemes.
We have a superb college council, whose elected members act as the sixth form voice and organise many fundraising and social events.
All of these areas support students with developing the essential skills and attributes for their future higher education and work place needs, which combined with academic skills are so important for their transition to independence, as well as making sixth form a fun and interesting place to be.
