100% of Shenley applicants are on their way to university!

It’s been a quiet day for clearing applicants at Shenley Academy today with 100% of applicants from year 13 achieving the grades required for their choice of university. Congratulations in particular go to:

 

  • Breanne Brunt, who will be heading off to Birmingham City University to study midwifery having achieved B in her Extended Project qualification and three distinction stars (D*) in Health and Social Care.
  • Charlotte Owen; who will be heading to York University to study for a  BA in Theatre: Writing, Directing & Performing, having achieved grade B in her A Level English Language & Literature, distinction stars (D*) in BTEC Diplomas in Performing Arts and Health & Social Care.
  • Charlie Olliver; who will be studying for a BA in Social Work at Kent University having achieved three distinction stars (D*) in BTEC Diplomas in Performing Arts and Health & Social Care.
  • Charlie Hannam; who will be studying for a BA in Dance at the University of Roehampton, having achieved a grade B in her A Level English Language & Literature and three distinction stars (D*) in BTEC Diplomas in Performing Arts and Health & Social Care.
  • Patrycja Brzezinska; who will be studying for a BSc in Social Care at the University of Birmingham, having achieved three distinction stars (D*) in her BTEC Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care and a grade D in her Extended Project qualification.

Shenley Academy offers a range of post-16 vocational qualifications and A Levels in partnership with other local secondary schools within The Oaks Collegiate and Birmingham City Football Club. Well qualified teaching staff guide students through the highs and lows of sixth form life in a purpose built sixth form centre, with access to specialist teaching facilities across the academy and in partnership venues.
