Armistice – 100 year anniversary
As I am sure you are aware, Sunday marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I. Every year Remembrance Day is used to commemorate and reflect on those who have lost their lives in a war. Students will be given the opportunity to do this during the week of Remembrance in form time and assemblies. Do you have any stories of family members, friends or neighbours that have made sacrifices during wartime, which you and they would be willing to share with others? If you do, would you please email them to me and the History Department who will feature them in future displays and where possible, incorporate them into lessons.
