Birmingham City Football Club Community Trust Education & Football Programme – now recruiting!

27 November 2017

Shenley Academy and the BCFC Community Trust have worked in partnership since 2009 to deliver a high performing academic and sporting post-16 programme. Once again we will be recruiting individuals to start our programme in September 2018, and interested Y11 students are invited to attend an open evening on Thursday 30th November 2017 or Thursday 25th January 2018.

The programme combines top performance on the pitch with a high quality BTEC academic programme. Successful students will have access to high quality professional football coaching, playing in the prestigious National Football Youth League and academic studies at a range of levels, including retake GCSE English and maths programmes where required.

Students who have followed the programme have progressed onto:

  • Semi professional football contracts playing at National League level and below
  • Sports Scientists at professional clubs
  • USA Soccer Scholarships
  • UK University including Loughborough University, University of Birmingham, Cardiff University and Birmingham City F.C’s degree course in partnership with the University of South Wales
